Amokka® Coffee

Exceptional coffee designed to complement the TopBrewer experience. From carefully selected single-origin beans to refined blends, Amokka® is defined by quality, precision, and transparency.

Sourced directly through Impact Trade, we work with a network of independent producers, cooperatives, and specialised traders, ensuring exceptional quality and fairer compensation at prices above market value. This direct approach strengthens relationships, drives innovation, and supports long-term sustainability in coffee-growing communities.

Paired with TopBrewer, Amokka® delivers effortless perfection in every cup, precision roasted, freshly ground, and brewed on demand.

Why Amokka®?

Impact Trade

Amokka chooses Impact Trade over traditional certifications like Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance. Learn how direct trade supports farmer independence, ensures fair pricing, and funds community-driven projects.

Fair Prices. Direct Partnerships.

Amokka pays well above the market prices through direct, long-term partnerships with producers. This pricing model supports fair, stable incomes, reflects the true cost of quality coffee.

Always Traceable, Only Specialty

Amokka works exclusively with speciality-grade coffee, offering full transparency down to the farm level. Through our “Trace Your Coffee” tool, every roast is linked to origin and quality data, bean to brew.

Sustainability in Practice.

We focus on what we can control, buying responsibly, reducing waste, and investing in better tools and sourcing. Sustainability is a process, not a label, and we’re committed to doing the work.

The Story of Amokka®

Founded in 1998 as one of Denmark’s first micro-roasteries, Amokka® helped shape Denmark’s Specialty Coffee scene long before it gained widespread recognition. What started as a small Copenhagen café and roastery quickly grew into an influential brand, now known for quality, transparency, and direct trade relationships.

Under Scanomat’s leadership today, Amokka® continues to push boundaries, combining heritage with innovation. Since 2019, Danish Coffee Roasting Champion Ante Bikic has refined the roasting process, perfecting recipes and elevating consistency to ensure every batch meets the highest standards.

Our coffee is not defined by extremes, it is about finding the point where everything comes together seamlessly.

Our philosophy

Amokka® is shaped by a Nordic approach to coffee, built on clarity, balance, and respect for the coffee’s natural character. We roast with precision to bring out the best in every coffee, favouring freshness, vibrancy, and a lighter approach that highlights layered complexity without overpowering it.

We roast to enhance, not overshadow, allowing each coffee’s unique profile to shine while maintaining balance. Freshness and vibrancy matter, but never at the expense of depth. Our coffee is not defined by extremes, it is about finding the point where everything comes together seamlessly.

Coffee traded with Impact

Exceptional coffee starts with strong relationships. Through Impact Trade, Amokka® works directly with coffee producers, ensuring higher payments for quality coffee while investing in farming communities.
Rather than relying on third-party certifications, we commit to long-term partnerships, transparency, and direct impact. We support initiatives like education, infrastructure, and clean water access, all chosen in collaboration with the farmers we work with.

With Impact Trade, every cup brewed with TopBrewer is sourced responsibly, creating a supply chain where quality and ethical responsibility are paramount.

We believe that great coffee should benefit not just those who drink it but also those who grow it.

Impact Trade Goals

Our 3 Impact Trade Goals:

Empower Communities

We commit to earmarking funds from every kilo of coffee purchased for community-led projects that improve infrastructure, education, or farmer livelihoods. By fostering local ownership and driving meaningful change, we ensure long-lasting benefits for coffee-growing regions.

Build Long-Term and Ethical Partnerships

Our relationships with farms and cooperatives are built on trust, fairness, and shared growth. We pay fair prices through sustained partnerships, promote sustainable farming practices, and protect labour and human rights, creating a foundation for ethical and environmentally responsible sourcing.

Champion Transparency and Accountability

We ensure every cup of coffee is responsibly sourced, traceable from farm to cup, and aligned with global standards for ethical governance, environmental sustainability, and fair labour practices. Our commitment includes protecting Indigenous rights and upholding deforestation-free production.

Trace the origin of Amokka® Coffee

At Amokka®, traceability is fundamental to how we source and roast coffee. That is why we created our own digital traceability system, tracking every batch from origin to roasting with full accountability.

Our coffee can be traced back to its farms, cooperatives, and supply chain journey, with roasting data uploaded in real time. Scan the dynamic QR code on the back of every bag to access detailed insights, offering a level of transparency rarely seen in coffee.

For years, we have sourced coffee exclusively from select partners committed to responsible farming. As the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) takes effect, we remain fully aligned, ensuring our coffee meets the highest environmental standards, just as it has for years.
